Handmade Bassoon and Contrabassoon Reeds - Made to Order
Extraordinary bassoon and contrabassoon reeds made entirely by hand with either the Moritz/Mechler shape in two widths or the Goltzer/Hertzberg shape (click the links to view the shapes). The reeds are made to the specifications of your bassoon/contra, serial number, bocal and position in the orchestra or chamber orchestra.
Feinsmith reeds are currently being played by top bassoonists and contrabassoonists, both in the United States and abroad, including Russia. All reeds come shipped in an elegant, reusable reed case. Reed Making Workshops
Reed Making Workshops will be given on site, locally or within a hundred mile radius either to individuals or small groups. All levels accepted. Invitations also accepted from high schools, colleges, universities and schools of music.
